Decatur County, TN Commissioner Arrested for Public Intoxication
Decatur County, TN Commissioner, John Edward Burns, was arrested on Saturday, May 24, for public intoxication, outside his own business, Johnny's Bar & Grill. The police report states that Commissioner Burns was unsteady on his feet and had a strong, intoxicating odor about him. Technically, that would mean he had a pleasant smell around him, but since Mayor Jason Scott cut already lax educational funding, I am sure the officer writing the report did not know that; he meant a strong odor of alcohol. Burns represents residents in District 7. He could not be reached for comment. |
